Born in Elgin, Texas on July 18, 1944, Jabo's early years were spent exploring the streets of Austin's East Side while his mama managed a beer joint. It was listening to the 45's from the jukebox at the beer joint that ultimately inspired Jabo's blues pursuits. "The blues just came out of me," he says. During that time, his mother bought him his first drum kit and he got a gig playing drums for T.D. Bell, one of the best in the Austin blues scene. In addition to drums, Jabo picked up the bass and learned to play it on the job. His first band, Chef Houston and the Cooks, started playing at Cheatham Street. Later, his band name changed to "The Ol' Dogs," a name that he proudly carries today. Over the years, he played bass for T.D. Bell, Hosea Hargrove, Blues Boy Hubbard and GRAMMY winner Pinetop Perkins, who loved the authentic old style he played. Five years ago, back surgery put Jabo in a wheelchair, and today he plays organ in the band, saving his bass playing for the lesser physical demands of a church gig on Sundays.

Conklin's musical inspirations are extremely diverse, encompassing Classical, R&B, Soul, Blues, Rock, Country and more. In 1998, BC & the Blues Crew advanced to the International Blues Challenge finals in Memphis, TN, a first for a band representing the Billtown Blues Association (Hughesville, PA) to receive this honor. In 2010, Conklin was very honored to be asked to fill-in for lead singer Mary Dunbar and returned to Memphis to compete with Friar's Point Band in the International Blues Challenge. While there, they recorded LIVE From Sun Studio, the band's second album. Among her many contributions to her local blues scene, Conklin founded the Woman's Blues Alliance and the Lehigh River Blues Jam.
Paddy Smith began exploring the harmonica at a young age before performing in talent shows and refining his skills beginning at the age of 15. His mother's free tickets to a Rolling Stones concert at Slane Castle, received during a chance encounter with Mick Jagger and Keith Richards in a Dublin pub, provided Smith with his first chance to see a live band. Although the Stones gave a great performance, it was opening act George Thorogood that stole the show for Smith, and his love of blues was born. After performing in venues across Ireland and ultimately moving to the US and performing in Chicago and California, Smith returned to his homeland, where he lives and plays the blues both onstage and off.
